Champion Homes, Inc. has announced a definitive agreement to acquire the assets of Homes Direct, expanding its footprint across key Western U.S. markets as part of a broader direct-to-consumer growth strategy.
The acquisition includes 11 retail locations spanning Arizona, California, Colorado, New Mexico, and Oregon—representing most of Homes Direct’s operating network. Homes Direct is described as the largest independent manufactured and modular home dealer in the western United States.
The deal is expected to strengthen Champion Homes’ retail presence and improve customer access by linking its manufacturing and distribution capabilities more tightly with frontline sales operations. Management said the acquisition aligns with its goal of building a more integrated, customer-centric retail platform.
Champion Homes CEO Tim Larson said the companies are highly complementary, noting that Homes Direct’s retail model and regional reach make it a “natural fit” for expansion. Homes Direct leadership also described the transaction as an opportunity to scale operations while maintaining its customer-focused retail approach.
The acquisition is expected to close in the second quarter of fiscal 2027, subject to standard regulatory and closing conditions. All Homes Direct employees at affected locations are expected to be offered positions within Champion Homes following completion of the deal.
In a separate announcement, Champion Homes also reported its fourth-quarter and full-year fiscal 2026 results and confirmed it will host an investor conference call to discuss both earnings and the acquisition details.
Champion Homes currently operates more than 46 manufacturing facilities and 84 retail locations across the United States, along with additional service and logistics businesses supporting the factory-built housing industry.
