Balefi Hydropower Limited (BHL) has published its unaudited financial results for the fourth quarter of the previous fiscal year. The company’s net loss has decreased compared to the same period of the previous year.
By the end of the last fiscal year, BHL reported a loss of NPR 393.9 million. This is an improvement from the NPR 448 million loss recorded in the same period a year earlier.
Even though electricity sales revenue declined, a significant reduction in financial expenses helped narrow the loss.
During the review period, revenue from electricity sales dropped from NPR 843.9 million to NPR 829 million. However, financial expenses decreased substantially from NPR 762.9 million to NPR 565.2 million, leading to the reduced loss.
BHL has a paid-up capital of NPR 3.65 billion, while its reserve fund remains negative at NPR 928.2 million. As of the end of Ashad, the company’s net worth per share stood at NPR 74.61.
