The ads, aired in Ontario, portrayed former U.S. President Ronald Reagan criticizing American tax systems. Trump called the portrayal misleading and accused Canada of spreading false allegations.

During his remarks, Trump also warned that he might halt ongoing trade negotiations with Canada. He further accused the Canadian government of engaging in unfair practices.
