SpaceX is reportedly preparing to launch its highly anticipated initial public offering (IPO) as early as June 12, with plans to list on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol “SPCX.”

According to sources familiar with the matter, the company could publicly release its IPO prospectus as early as next Wednesday, while a roadshow for investors may begin on June 4. The share sale itself could occur as soon as June 11.

If completed at the targeted valuation of approximately $1.75 trillion, SpaceX would become the largest stock market flotation in history.

One of the Biggest IPOs Ever

The proposed valuation marks a substantial increase from the roughly $1.25 trillion combined valuation established earlier this year when SpaceX merged with xAI, the artificial intelligence startup founded by Elon Musk.

SpaceX is reportedly aiming to raise around $75 billion through the offering.

The IPO is expected to become one of the defining market events of the year and could further accelerate the recovery of the U.S. IPO market following years of weakness caused by interest rate volatility, tariffs, and geopolitical uncertainty.

Nasdaq Wins High-Profile Listing

SpaceX’s decision to list on the Nasdaq represents a major victory for the exchange over rival New York Stock Exchange.

The company reportedly selected Nasdaq partly because of its new “fast-entry” rules designed to speed up inclusion of newly listed large-cap companies into the Nasdaq-100 index.

Reuters previously reported that SpaceX was seeking early inclusion into the NDX following its public debut.

Interestingly, the ticker “SPCX” was previously used by a SPAC-focused ETF managed by Tuttle Capital Management before the fund changed its symbol earlier this year, fueling speculation that SpaceX was preparing to claim the ticker.

Faster-Than-Expected IPO Timeline

Sources said SpaceX accelerated its IPO schedule after receiving faster-than-expected feedback from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission regarding its IPO paperwork.

The listing had originally been expected later in June, potentially around Elon Musk’s birthday, but the timeline has reportedly been moved forward.

Neither SpaceX nor the SEC immediately commented on the reports.

Major Wall Street Banks Involved

The offering is being led by several of Wall Street’s largest financial institutions, including:

• Bank of America
• Citigroup
• JPMorgan Chase
• Goldman Sachs

An additional 16 banks are reportedly participating across institutional, retail, and international distribution channels.

IPO Market Momentum Returning

The SpaceX debut is expected to headline a broader revival in the IPO market, which could also include future listings from major AI firms such as Anthropic and OpenAI.

Given SpaceX’s dominance in commercial rockets, satellite internet, and space infrastructure through businesses like Starlink, investor demand is expected to be exceptionally strong if the offering proceeds as planned.
