Dogecoin has once again fallen into oversold territory, raising speculation that the meme coin could be approaching another major cycle bottom despite ongoing bearish pressure across the crypto market.
According to crypto analyst Cryptollica, Dogecoin’s weekly Relative Strength Index (RSI) has entered oversold levels — a signal that has appeared only four times in the past 12 years. Historically, each occurrence has coincided with the formation of a long-term market bottom before a major bullish recovery.
The analyst noted that similar conditions appeared in:
- 2015, when Dogecoin established an early cycle bottom
- 2020, during the COVID-19 market crash
- 2022, after the collapse of the 2021 crypto bull market
- 2026, where DOGE is once again revisiting oversold territory
Based on chart analysis, Cryptollica believes Dogecoin may be forming a new cycle bottom near the $0.10 price region while currently trading around $0.115.
Historical Pattern Repeating
The analyst explained that each previous oversold signal emerged during periods of extreme market pessimism, fear, and investor exhaustion. During those phases, many traders believed Dogecoin was effectively “dead,” only for the meme coin to later stage powerful recoveries.
According to the analysis, the current setup mirrors previous cycle lows where sentiment collapsed just before major upward reversals.
Cryptollica described the oversold RSI signal as a “rare cycle-location signal,” suggesting that the market may be nearing the end of its prolonged downtrend.
Bullish $5 Price Target
If Dogecoin confirms a long-term bottom and follows historical recovery patterns, the analyst projects a potential rally toward $5 in a future bull cycle.
A move from current prices around $0.115 to $5 would represent an increase of approximately 4,900%.
While such a target remains highly speculative, supporters argue that Dogecoin’s history of explosive rallies following deep corrections keeps long-term bullish sentiment alive among meme coin traders.
“Best Opportunities Come When Charts Look Dead”
In a separate analysis, Cryptollica argued that the current market environment may represent one of the best accumulation opportunities for long-term investors.
The analyst emphasized that previous oversold signals appeared precisely when market interest disappeared and sentiment was overwhelmingly negative:
- In 2015, most investors ignored Dogecoin
- In 2020, panic dominated during the market crash
- In 2022, traders experienced exhaustion after the crypto collapse
- In 2026, the market is once again showing similar pessimism
According to the analyst, major cycle opportunities often emerge when investors least expect them and when market confidence is at its weakest.
