Q2 FY2025 Earnings Season Enters Final Week: Over 2,500 Companies Set to Announce Results

The second-quarter (Q2 FY2025) earnings season is heading into its final week, with nearly 2,500 companies slated to release their financial results in the coming days. Several major names, including Vodafone Idea, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), SJVN, Rail Vikas Nigam, Bharat Forge, Hindustan Aeronautics, IRCTC, Hero MotoCorp, and Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, will be in focus as they unveil their September quarter performance.

Vodafone Idea Q2 Preview

According to JM Financial, Vodafone Idea is expected to post a net loss of ₹6,823.5 crore for the quarter ended September 2025, compared to a loss of ₹7,175.9 crore in the same quarter last year and ₹6,608.1 crore in the previous quarter.

Revenue is projected to rise 1.7% year-on-year to ₹11,115 crore from ₹10,932.2 crore, and 0.8% sequentially from ₹11,022.5 crore. Analysts believe that while operational improvements are ongoing, the telecom giant continues to face financial pressures from its debt load and capital constraints.

ONGC Q2 Preview

For Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), JM Financial forecasts a 2% decline in EBITDA (quarter-on-quarter) due to higher operating expenses. However, the company is expected to benefit from higher crude and gas realizations and increased production volumes during the period.

The brokerage has reiterated a ‘Buy’ rating on ONGC stock, with a revised target price of ₹285, citing strong fundamentals and improving profitability outlook.
