Anthropic is reportedly raising more than $30 billion at a valuation of roughly $900 billion as the artificial intelligence company prepares for a widely anticipated initial public offering.
The funding round is expected to be co-led by Greenoaks Capital, Sequoia Capital, Dragoneer Investment Group and Altimeter Capital, according to people familiar with the matter. Sources said the deal has not yet closed and the final amount raised could exceed $30 billion.
The latest fundraising highlights the massive concentration of capital flowing into a small number of leading AI firms. Since the beginning of 2025, Anthropic and rivals including OpenAI, xAI, Waymo and Databricks have accounted for roughly 75% of total venture capital investment during the first quarter of 2026, according to PitchBook.
Anthropic’s rapid growth has fueled investor demand. The company is reportedly projecting a $50 billion revenue run-rate by the end of the second quarter, up sharply from around $9 billion at the end of 2025.
The new raise follows another $30 billion funding round completed only three months ago. Including the latest financing, Anthropic is expected to have raised more than $90 billion since the start of 2025, with strategic backing from Google and Amazon.
Meanwhile, OpenAI has also continued to dominate fundraising activity. Since the beginning of last year, the company has reportedly secured around $162 billion in total funding, including a record-breaking $122 billion round earlier this year.
The surge in AI financing reflects growing investor conviction that a small group of AI labs will emerge as the foundational platforms powering the next generation of software, automation and digital infrastructure.
