SuryaJyoti Life Insurance Reports Moderate Growth in Q1 FY2082/83

SuryaJyoti Life Insurance Limited (SJLIC) has released its unaudited financial results for the first quarter of the current fiscal year, showing moderate growth compared to the same period last year. The company recorded a net profit of NPR 12.8 crore, up 11% from NPR 11.53 crore in the previous year. Net earned premiums increased by 18.74%, while total income rose by 12.28%. During the period, total claim payments grew by 14.82%, and total expenses rose by 12.17%. Earnings per share reached NPR 10.22, and net worth per share stood at NPR 134.42, with a price-to-earnings ratio of 39.86. The company’s paid-up capital is NPR 5.01 billion, with catastrophe fund reserves of NPR 425.7 million, retained earnings of NPR 1.04 billion, and other equity reserves of NPR 257.3 million. Overall, SJLIC has demonstrated steady growth in profit and premiums while maintaining a strong capital base.
