Kathmandu, Nov. 17, 2025 — Nepal Bank Limited (NBL), the country’s first commercial bank, celebrated its 89th anniversary with a grand ceremony at its head office. The event was chaired by Board Chair Prof. Dr. Dilliraj Sharma and recognized the dedication of employees and branches across the country.

During the celebration, the bank:

• Honored employees with long-term service awards
• Recognized security staff for their commitment
• Awarded 12 branches for outstanding performance

Serving approximately 2.7 million customers through 231 branches, 237 ATMs, and 61 extension counters, NBL also caters to 1 million digital banking users.

Prof. Dr. Sharma highlighted the importance of modern, efficient, and youth-driven services, urging employees to maintain integrity and high morale, while assuring that the board will continue to support management in achieving organizational goals.
