Microsoft Launches AI Tour Dubai, Expands AI Skilling Initiative in UAE

Dubai, UAE – November 6, 2025 – Microsoft hosted the Dubai edition of its global AI Tour, bringing together leaders from government, education, and industry to showcase how artificial intelligence can drive innovation, productivity, and sustainable growth in the UAE.

During the event, Microsoft announced Microsoft Elevate UAE, an expansion of its AI skilling initiative. The program aims to equip over 250,000 students, staff, and faculty and more than 55,000 government employees with AI skills through partnerships, training programs, and hands-on access to AI tools. Initiatives will include training 10,000 teachers and 150,000 students in GEMS private schools.

  • Microsoft’s Vice Chair Brad Smith emphasized building talent and AI infrastructure to support the UAE’s long-term vision for innovation, education, and inclusive growth.
  • The AI Tour Dubai showcased product demonstrations across Copilot, Azure OpenAI Service, and Microsoft Cloud, giving participants practical AI skills.
  • The Connection Hub highlighted local startups like Takalam (AI mental health platform), PRYPCO (proptech), and Otera (enterprise AI automation).
  • Collaboration with G42 and the JAHIZ platform will train and credential 55,000 UAE federal government employees in AI over the next 12 months.
  • Microsoft reaffirmed its $15.2 billion investment in the UAE, focused on technology, talent, and building trust across sectors.
