AI Products Now Account for More Than One-Third of Sales
Lenovo Group reported strong growth in its artificial intelligence business, with AI-related revenue rising 84% year over year as demand for AI-powered devices and infrastructure continues accelerating.
The company said AI-focused products — including AI PCs, NPU-enabled smartphones, and GPU servers — now represent more than one-third of total sales. These categories were the primary drivers behind Lenovo’s sharp increase in AI revenue.
The results highlight Lenovo’s growing position in the expanding global AI hardware market as enterprises and consumers increasingly adopt AI-capable devices and computing systems.
Memory Shortages Could Pressure Margins
Despite the strong AI growth, Lenovo warned that shortages in memory chips and rising memory costs could negatively affect profit margins in the near term.
The company said higher component prices remain a key challenge across the technology supply chain, particularly as demand for AI hardware increases globally.
However, Lenovo noted that its supply-chain management capabilities, favorable product mix, and leading global PC market share could help offset some of the pressure from rising costs.
Lenovo remains one of the world’s largest PC manufacturers and continues expanding its AI infrastructure offerings as competition intensifies across the technology sector.
Major Lenovo Share Sale Reported
Separately, Numans Health Food disclosed the sale of 6 million Lenovo Group shares on May 22, 2026.
The transaction generated approximately HK$89.7 million in gross proceeds and was recorded as an outright disposal, according to the filing.
Large shareholder transactions are often monitored closely by investors because they can influence market sentiment and trading activity, although such sales do not necessarily reflect changes in company fundamentals.
Lenovo’s strong AI growth, combined with ongoing supply-chain challenges and investor activity, continues to place the company at the center of growing interest in the global AI technology market.
