Yambaling Hydropower Limited has officially opened its Initial Public Offering (IPO) to the general public from 16th Baishakh, 2083.
Under the offering, the company is issuing 17,43,000 unit shares at a face value of Rs. 100 per share. The IPO is scheduled to close on 22nd Baishakh, 2083, with a provision to extend the closing date until 30th Baishakh if the issue remains undersubscribed.
The company has an issued capital of Rs. 70 Crores, of which 40%, equivalent to 28,00,000 unit shares, will be offered to the public.
Out of the total public issue:
- 7,00,000 unit shares worth Rs. 7 Crores were allocated to project-affected locals of Sindhupalchok District.
- The remaining 21,00,000 unit shares are allocated for the general public.
From the general public allocation:
- 2,10,000 unit shares were reserved for Nepalese citizens working abroad.
- 42,000 unit shares were allocated to company employees.
- 1,05,000 unit shares were reserved for mutual funds.
- The remaining 17,43,000 unit shares are being offered to the general public from today.
Muktinath Capital Limited has been appointed as the issue manager for the IPO.
Investors can apply for a minimum of 10 units and a maximum of 21,000 units.
Meanwhile, CARE Ratings Nepal Limited has reaffirmed the issuer rating of “CARE-NP BB- (Is)” for Yambaling Hydropower Limited. The rating indicates a moderate risk of default in the timely fulfillment of financial obligations.
Established in 2007 and converted into a public company in 2021, Yambaling Hydropower Limited operates the 7.27 MW Yambaling Khola Hydropower Project in Sindhupalchok District. The run-of-river project commenced commercial operation on February 20, 2024, under the BOOT (Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer) model.
