New York, March 3, 2026 – Strategy Inc. Chairman Michael Saylor has once again hinted at purchasing Bitcoin, following the company’s recent announcement of a Bitcoin acquisition on Monday.
On Tuesday, Saylor tweeted on X, “I’m buying bitcoin right now. Are you?” as Bitcoin traded around $68,000, sparking speculation that Strategy could be adding more cryptocurrency to its holdings.
The post comes after Saylor highlighted that Strategy’s Nasdaq-listed perpetual preferred stock, STRC, now offers an 11.5% yield. Known as Short Duration High Yield Credit (STRC), the instrument is currently priced around $100.
Market observers suggest STRC may perform particularly well during Bitcoin downturns, as its yield becomes more attractive when Bitcoin prices fall, while upward participation is less critical. Data shared on X by crypto strategist and Vibe Capital General Partner Dave Goldblatt indicated heightened STRC activity, with estimates showing more than 100 BTC being added. Analyst James Van Straten noted that such instruments could support Strategy’s broader strategy to acquire Bitcoin during market dips.
Investors are watching closely, as these moves could signal continued accumulation of Bitcoin by Strategy, reinforcing its long-term bullish stance on the cryptocurrency.
