FA Reject Everton’s Appeal Against Idrissa Gueye Red Card

The Football Association has rejected Everton’s appeal against Idrissa Gueye’s red card without providing any explanation, according to manager David Moyes.

The 36-year-old midfielder received a straight red card for slapping his own teammate, Michael Keane, during Everton’s 1-0 victory at Manchester United on Monday.

The incident occurred in the 13th minute, with goalkeeper Jordan Pickford stepping in to separate the clashing players before referee Tony Harrington dismissed Gueye.

As per standard rules, a red card for violent conduct carries a three-match suspension, meaning Gueye will miss Everton’s upcoming Premier League fixtures against Newcastle, Bournemouth, and Nottingham Forest.
