Bosnia and Herzegovina Industrial Output Declines Moderately in October

26 November 2025 – Sarajevo: Bosnia and Herzegovina’s industrial production fell 0.7% year-on-year in October, easing from a 2.7% decline in September, marking the fourth consecutive month of contraction but at a slower pace.

Key sector trends:

  • Consumer durables: Output fell 26.4%, slightly better than September’s 28.4% drop.
  • Consumer non-durables: Declined 7.2%, improving from 8.7% in September.
  • Energy production: Rebounded sharply, rising 12.9% after a 1.3% decline.
  • Capital goods: Growth accelerated to 8.3% from 4.1%.
  • Intermediate goods: Output fell faster at 5.4% vs 0.5% previously.

Monthly performance: On a seasonally adjusted basis, industrial production rose 3.2% in October, following a 2.4% increase in September.

The data suggests gradual recovery in some sectors, despite ongoing weakness in consumer-related industries.
