Lock-In Period Ending on 1st Poush, 2082
Barahi Hydropower Public Limited (BHPL) has issued an official notice regarding the expiration of the lock-in period for shares held by its promoters, local residents of the project-affected area, and employees. The lock-in period is set to conclude on 1st Poush, 2082.
Shareholding Details
BHPL currently has 2,500,000 units of shares listed on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE). The distribution of shares under lock-in is as follows:
- Promoters: 1,800,000 units
- Project-affected local residents: 146,000 units
- Employees: 11,080 units
These shares have been under lock-in since the company’s IPO allotment three years ago.
Restrictions for Certain Shares
According to the official notice and Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) guidelines, shares held by Board of Directors and employees in higher management will remain non-tradable even after the general lock-in period ends.
