Nepal Telecom Reports 23.82% Decline in Q1 Net Profit

Kathmandu, Nov. 17, 2025Nepal Telecom Limited (NTC) has released its unaudited financial results for the first quarter of the current fiscal year, showing a decline in net profit compared to the same period last year.

Net Profit Falls Due to Lower Income
For the first quarter, NTC recorded a net profit of NPR 1.32 billion, down 23.82% from NPR 1.7395 billion earned in the same period of the previous fiscal year. The decline in net profit was attributed to lower overall income.

During the review period, the company’s operating income decreased by 0.01%, while financial income fell by 48.99%. Overall, total income declined by 5.89% compared to the same period last year.

Earnings Per Share and Net Worth
Earnings per share (EPS) also declined, dropping to NPR 29.45, down from NPR 38.66 in the previous year. As of the end of Ashwin, the company’s net worth per share stood at NPR 505.75, with a price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of 28.72.

NTC has a paid-up capital of NPR 18 billion, with reserves totaling NPR 7.30357 billion.
