Mumbai, November 6, 2025 – Equity benchmark indices remained weak on Thursday, failing to sustain any recovery. The Nifty closed at 25,510, down 88 points, while the Sensex fell 148 points to 83,311. The Nifty Bank index dropped 273 points to 57,554, and the Midcap index declined 569 points to 59,469.
Sector and Stock Highlights:
- AB Group stocks led the losses, with Grasim and Hindalco among the top Nifty losers.
- Power Grid extended losses from Tuesday, down 3%.
- Two-wheeler stocks remained weak, with Eicher Motors falling sharply.
- Delhivery, ABFRL, Blue Star, and NCC fell up to 8%; Blue Star’s lowered revenue and margin guidance also pressured Havells and Voltas, down 3–5%.
- Godrej Properties ended near day’s low despite an in-line Q2. Chola Investment declined 3% after higher NPA reports. Ola Electric dropped 5% following a muted Q2 and lowered guidance.
Gainers:
- Astral, Nuvama, and Britannia advanced on strong Q2 results.
- Paytm rose 4% after robust earnings and MSCI Index inclusion.
- Redington surged 15% on all-around growth in Q2.
