HCLTech has launched a new AI Innovation Zone in Chennai aimed at helping enterprises move artificial intelligence projects from experimentation to full-scale production, strengthening its push into enterprise AI infrastructure and solutions.
The facility is built in collaboration with Intel Corporation and is designed to showcase and deploy AI systems powered by Intel Xeon 6 processors, Intel Advanced Matrix Extensions (AMX), and Intel Core Ultra platforms. It spans the full AI technology stack, including data center infrastructure, cloud environments, and AI-enabled computing systems, allowing businesses to test and implement AI solutions in real-world conditions.
The center also highlights tools and platforms such as small language model (SLM) optimization, AI Platform-as-a-Service capabilities built on Red Hat OpenShift, and HCLTech’s proprietary solutions including AI Force, VisionX 2.0, and AI Factory. These systems are designed to support applications ranging from generative AI-driven transformation to video analytics and edge-to-cloud AI deployment, with a focus on scalability and operational efficiency.
By expanding its collaboration with Intel, HCLTech is positioning the facility as a bridge between AI experimentation and enterprise adoption, reflecting growing demand for practical AI infrastructure across industries. The company’s shares closed slightly lower on the day, but the launch underscores its broader strategy to strengthen its role in the rapidly expanding global AI ecosystem.
