Upakar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited has announced plans to issue rights shares and has called its 7th Annual General Meeting (AGM) to approve the proposal.
The AGM will be held on Jestha 10, 2083, at Hotel Central Plaza in Kohalpur, Banke. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 11:00 AM.
The meeting will discuss and approve several agendas, including:
- Authorizing the board of directors to proceed with the issuance of rights shares
- Granting authority to the board to carry out merger and acquisition (M&A) activities with other microfinance institutions
- Approving amendments to the company’s memorandum and articles of association
- Endorsing directors appointed by the board for the remaining tenure
- Appointment of an external auditor
- Other regular AGM proposals
For AGM purposes, the company has announced a book closure date on Baisakh 30.
Accordingly, shareholders maintaining ownership of shares traded on Nepal Stock Exchange until Baisakh 29 will be eligible to participate in the AGM.
