Zuellig Pharma Launches Cutting-Edge Clinical Trial Support Innovation Center in South Korea

Seoul, South Korea – December 1, 2025 – Zuellig Pharma, a leading healthcare solutions provider in Asia, today announced the grand opening of its new Clinical Trial Support (CTS) Innovation Center in South Korea, marking a major milestone in the company’s commitment to advancing healthcare across the region.

Strategically located near the Gyeongbu Expressway in Gyeonggi-do province, the 3,800-square-meter facility is designed to set new standards in clinical trial logistics through automation, digitalization, and strict adherence to Good Practice (GxP) compliance. The center aims to enhance operational efficiency, scalability, and reliability across a wide range of therapeutic areas.

“This milestone marks a significant step forward for Zuellig Pharma in remaining agile and responsive to the evolving clinical trial landscape,” said John Graham, CEO of Zuellig Pharma. “It reflects our continued commitment to advancing healthcare through innovation and sustainable infrastructure, creating greater access to treatments, and delivering meaningful outcomes for partners and communities.”

The facility is equipped with advanced automated order fulfillment systems, ensuring faster, more accurate, and reliable delivery of clinical supplies. Its flexible and scalable architecture guarantees uninterrupted operations, while robust cybersecurity measures protect sensitive clinical trial data.

Comprehensive temperature-zone support allows the center to manage thousands of unique clinical trial SKUs under ambient, cold, frozen, deep frozen, cryogenic, and return storage conditions. Specialized repackaging infrastructure accommodates controlled environments tailored to ambient, cold, frozen, and amber-light specifications, meeting strict clinical and regulatory standards. An integrated end-to-end tracking system ensures full chain-of-custody, complete traceability, and GxP compliance at every stage.

Giuseppe Leo, SVP and Clinical Trial Support Business Unit Lead, Zuellig Pharma, added:
“South Korea ranks among the world’s top 10 clinical trial markets and holds the third-largest number of R&D pipelines globally. Our new facility has been built to meet this rising demand, enabling the reliable delivery of critical therapies to improve patient access and outcomes worldwide.”

Over the past year, the center has supported over 3,000 studies in collaboration with more than 100 clients, managing around 13,000 outbound shipments annually. Its track record includes partnerships with 14 of the world’s top 20 pharmaceutical companies and 8 of the top 10 global CROs, reinforcing Zuellig Pharma’s role as a trusted partner in clinical research.

The new CTS Innovation Center reflects Zuellig Pharma’s broader purpose of making healthcare more accessible across Asia, leveraging automation, innovation, and global best practices to serve patients, partners, and communities alike.
