Kevin Hassett Signals Interest in Fed Chairmanship

Washington, D.C. – White House economic adviser Kevin Hassett stated on Sunday that he would be willing to serve as the next chairman of the U.S. Federal Reserve if chosen by President Donald Trump.

Hassett made the remarks during an appearance on Fox News’ Fox and Friends, following reports from Bloomberg News last week identifying him as a leading contender to succeed current Fed Chair Jerome Powell, whose term is set to end next year.
