Following the Gen Z movement and the dissolution of the House of Representatives, Nepal has added 837,094 new voters to the national voter list after the announcement of fresh elections.
According to the Election Commission, the voter registration process, which was open from 24 September to 21 November, recorded the addition of nearly 850,000 voters. Among them:
- 473,345 are men
- 363,778 are women
- 61 are listed as others
The Commission stated that 344,914 voters were added through the regular registration process, while 492,180 were added through the biometric registration system linked to the National Identity Card (NID).
Before this update, as of 1 November, Nepal had a total of 18,168,230 registered voters.
