China’s exports of refined oil products in October increased 14% year-on-year, though they fell 12.1% compared with September, according to customs data released on Tuesday. Total exports for the month, including diesel, gasoline, aviation fuel, and marine fuel, reached 4.52 million metric tons, down from 5.14 million tons in September.
In the first ten months of 2025, China exported 47.53 million tons of refined oil, a 3.3% decline year-on-year. Diesel exports rose sharply in October by 55.7% year-on-year to 740,000 tons, although the cumulative exports for January–October were down 22.7% at 5.82 million tons. Gasoline shipments grew 11.8% year-on-year to 750,000 tons in October but fell 10.3% year-to-date to 7.08 million tons. Aviation fuel exports were up 18.2% in October at 1.72 million tons, with year-to-date exports rising 6.6% to 17.11 million tons.
Meanwhile, China’s LNG imports fell 10.3% year-on-year to 5.76 million tons in October, with cumulative imports for the first ten months declining 16.2% compared with the same period last year.
