Reopening of Red Fort
The Red Fort in Delhi, closed after the car blast on November 10, 2025, which claimed around 13 lives and caused injuries to several others, will reopen to the public from Sunday, November 16, 2025. Visitors can enter at a ticket price of ₹35 for Indians and ₹500 for foreign tourists. On weekends, tickets including the light and sound show cost ₹80 for adults and ₹30 for children, while weekday show tickets are ₹60 for adults and ₹20 for children. The monument is open daily from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM, except Mondays.
Traffic on Netaji Subhash Marg Resumes
Following the blast, traffic on Netaji Subhash Marg had been suspended for several days. The Delhi Traffic Police announced that from 1:00 PM on November 15, 2025, both carriageways and service roads were reopened, allowing commuters to use the route as normal.
Lal Quila Metro Station Fully Operational
The Lal Quila Metro Station also gradually resumed operations. Initially, only Gates 2 and 3 reopened on November 15, followed by Gates 1 and 4 on November 16, making all gates fully operational for passengers.
Security Measures and Area Normalization
In the aftermath of the blast, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) placed Delhi Metro, Red Fort, government buildings, and IGI Airport on high alert. The Chandni Chowk market also remained closed for several days. With the reopening of the Red Fort, metro station, and resumption of traffic, normalcy has largely returned to the area.
