Denmark’s Trade Surplus Widens in September 2025

Denmark’s seasonally adjusted goods and services trade surplus rose to DKK 33.5 billion in September 2025, up from an upwardly revised DKK 25.8 billion in August.

The increase was driven by a 3.4% month-on-month rise in exports to DKK 181.7 billion, supported entirely by higher goods and services exports. Meanwhile, imports declined 1.1% to DKK 148.2 billion.

For the first nine months of 2025, Denmark recorded a trade surplus of DKK 242.0 billion, widening from DKK 226.7 billion during the same period in 2024.

The data reflects strong external demand and controlled import growth, contributing to the country’s growing trade surplus.
