Standard Chartered Bank Nepal Reports 19.72% Decline in Net Profit in Q1 FY 2082/83

Standard Chartered Bank Nepal Limited has published its unaudited financial report for the first quarter of the current fiscal year 2082/83.

According to the report, the bank earned a net profit of NPR 69.21 crore during the review period. This marks a 19.72% decline compared to a profit of NPR 86.22 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal year.

The bank’s net interest income decreased by 8.36%, reaching NPR 1.07 billion during the review period.

The bank’s paid-up capital stands at NPR 10.04 billion. As of the end of Ashoj, it had collected deposits of NPR 129.62 billion and disbursed loans worth NPR 70.11 billion, according to the financial report.

The bank’s non-performing loan (NPL) ratio has improved to 1.71%, down from 1.95% in the same period last year.

As of the end of the quarter, the bank’s earnings per share (EPS) stood at NPR 27.57, while its net worth per share was NPR 613.
