Azul Airlines Advances Financial Restructuring with Creditor Settlement

Brazilian airline Azul has reached a settlement with its unsecured creditors, marking a significant step forward in its Chapter 11 financial restructuring, the company announced on Saturday. Azul, which filed for Chapter 11 protection in May, said the agreement provides a clear path for the airline to move forward. The carrier, among several Latin American airlines severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, expects to exit Chapter 11 proceedings early next year, according to previous statements from the firm.
